The church—built by Jesus, paid for by his blood at Calvary (Acts 20:28)—will glorify God throughout all eternity (Eph 3:20-21). The church is God’s family.
Note: In 1886, an Austrian monk named Gregor Mendel, began to make detailed observations about the pea plants that he was growing in his garden. He noted that some of the plants were tall and skinny while others were short and bushy. Some of the pea pods were pale while others were deep green with plump fruit. He discovered that certain plants could be crossed with others and a superior plant, with the best characteristics of each parenting plant could be produced. This process, known as hybridization, is to merge the best characteristics of different elements into one ideal one. Mendel documented his findings and, for the first time, identified the laws of hybridization that provide the foundation for today’s genetic study.
Hybridization, of sorts can be found in many places in our world. It is seen in the spectrum of color where red, yellow, and blue form the full range of colors: salty, sweet, sour and bitter together produce taste, etc. The true Father of heredity, God, uses this principle in the greatest of all earthy situations – His church.
In Ephesians 4:11-16, Paul speaks about the importance of each member of the body of Christ working to their fullest, that through the contribution of each person’s talent, the body might be built up and, with the truth of the Gospel, ultimately equipped to fulfill its purpose. God has blessed each member with talents and abilities as He has seen fit. It is our responsibility to put those talents to use and to realize the value of each other member working with us in service to our Father in heaven. This “diversity” of talents must be paired with a single mind and purpose, the unaltered word of God. When this occurs we as individuals grow spiritually, the Church grows in strength and number, the lost are
reached and GOD IS GLORIFIED! “…until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of
Christ” Ephesians 4:13.
