Synergy, Serendipity and Dr. Seuss

Biblical Title: “All things work together for good and with God, all things are possible.”
Text: Romans 8:27-28; Philippians 4:13
There is energy in synergy! Go beyond your own limits, beyond your comfort zone.

1. Synergy has energy.
• Not ready to be listed in who’s thru in America…don’t stick a fork in me—I’m not done.
• Ben Franklin said most people DIE at 25 but are BURIED at 65—they just exist.
• DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RUT AND A GRAVE is the DIRT IN YOUR FACE.
• Synergy is everything working together for good, Rom. 8:27-28.

2. Serendipity—“Surprise,” Matt. 6:33; Acts 2:38, 41-47; Psalm 126:6; Gen. 50:20.
• Happiness, Joy, Peace, and Love all come as we live our life.
• Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
-When Einstein conceived the Theory of Relativity (E=mc2) he wrote it down!
This propelled his work to prominence. Quotes from Einstein:
-“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Einstein
-“God doesn’t play dice with the universe.” Einstein
-“I want to know the things of God-everything else is only detail.” Einstein
-“Try not to be to become a man of success but rather a man of value.” Einstein
• Learn to write-write-write, tape, video, quilt, photograph, tell your story—if you’ve got
a song sing it, a bell ring it, a life live it, a story tell it—don’t die with the music in you.

3. Dr. Seuss. Books of note:
• Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs & Ham, Horton Hatches the Egg
• On Beyond Zebra –In your life you can stay with the A-B-C’s or you can “GO ON BEYOND ZEBRA.”
-Go “on beyond your own limits”—beyond your own comfort zone—beyond the norm.
-With God we can do all things (within His will), Eph. 3:20-21; Phil. 4:13.

4. Combine these all synergistically.
• You and I can make a difference in our lives and in the world.
• Great quote by George Bernard Shaw: “Some men see things as they are and ask, “Why?” I dream things that never were and ask, “Why not?” WE CAN DO IT!

5. Apply these lessons to all areas of your life. Start with Jesus, Matt. 6:33.
Obey Him today, Mark 16:16. Life will be better, Rom. 8:27-28.
Conclusion: This lesson can motivate you to make a greater difference in God’s world.
