1. Spiritually – Challenge to excellence to choose to do what is BEST!
God is always in the picture influencing everything, Phil 1:9-10.
2. Mentally/Emotional – Doing what I know is best by right
thinking. Quit worrying and trust God! Prov 3:5-6
3. Physically – Health, Eating, Drinking, Exercise, Sleep, WELLNESS.
Choosing quality in all areas! Attitude-positive, I Tim 4:8.
4. Family – Togetherness synergy participation. Making a
difference within the home and relationships, Eph 6:1-4.
5. Socially -relationship with people – always be kind to family, friends,
neighbors, co-workers, brothers/sisters and strangers, Phil 2:5-11.
6. Career – Primary use of time and energy – Am I doing what God
would want? Matt 6:33. His priorities for us?
7. Financially – Resources to allow choices – Own your own home,
own your own automobile, continuing education, help others
and put God first in all things – Time, Talent, Treasure, Seek first
the will of God! Practice Matthew 6:33; 22:35-40. Love God
with all our heart, soul and mind!
a. God and money – Old Testament has a lot to say – Deut 8:18;
Prov 22:6-7. King Solomon, Abraham, Job.
b. God and money – New Testament – we must be good
stewards. “Moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man
be found faithful,” I Cor 4:2.
c. Solomon taught, build your business before you build your
house, Prov 24:27.
d. Jesus’ life: 12 men…traveled, taught and preached…and
they had a treasurer! Money was necessary—went to buy
meat, et al, John 4:8.
e. Many Bible principles on working for what we have, having
enough to live on, share by helping others, supporting one’s
family (I Tim 5:8 – if we don’t, we are worse than an infidel);
supporting the church and the preaching of the Gospel; also
leaving a legacy for your children after you are gone, Prov
13:22; 22:1, 6-7, 14-15; II Cor 12:14-15.
